Nervous start

Tomorrow I will be sending "The email" announcing the 1,000km challenge to raise £10,000 for the NSPCC.

A big one for me.

Two worries: (1) will I make it - not much of a margin for error and (2) will I meet my fund raising target - £5,000 and £10,000 as the stretch target.

On the latter, my wife isn't optimistic. She thought I'd be lucky to raise £500.
So, a special thanks to my good friend D who donated £500 to ensure I do not fall completely flat on my face. Special thanks also to my friend N who put forward another £1, to take me clearly over the line.

During 2010 I will be updating you on my progress and any exciting occurances and / or thoughts that happen on the way.
